The University of the West of England’s Glenside Campus is located in Stapleton, three miles north east of Bristol city centre, on the site of an asylum, which first opened in 1861.
The £3m project comprised the redevelopment of the Grade II listed, former NHS Victorian laundry building on the campus creating a new centre for ophthalmics. Included within this were spaces for FM and specialist systems, including Archibus CAFM, teaching, CPD events and post-graduate research spaces.
In addition to the project bringing the facilities up to date, a new nursing skills simulation suite has also been created.
The project was a full BIM Level 2 design and Method Consulting’s services included SKA advice and assessment, Sustainability and Soft Landing services.
