Thurrock Civic Offices is a new build office building for Thurrock Council and forms the first phase of the wider South Grays regeneration project.
The three-storey building brings together a range of public-facing and civic functions, including a Council Chamber, Registrar service, café, committee rooms, democratic services, and modern office space for council staff.
Designed with sustainability and wellbeing at its core, the building has been delivered to BREEAM Outstanding standards, with Method Consulting acting as BREEAM assessors and energy/sustainability consultants. Key environmental features include high-performance building fabric, low-carbon heating and cooling systems, energy-efficient lighting, and smart building controls to optimise performance. The design also follows the principles of the WELL standard, ensuring healthy, comfortable, and productive internal environments for both staff and visitors.
