This integrated care centre for Wiltshire Clinical Commissioning Group is being procured through the NHS P22 framework with Kier Construction. The centre includes consulting rooms, specialist treatment rooms, a dentist’s surgery and a podiatry suite.
The client set a challenging brief for a Zero Carbon BREEAM Excellent building which will be an exemplar for similar NHS developments nationwide.
The building is all-electric with no gas on site and is heated with high-eficiency heat pumps to provide low carbon heating. A large roof-mounted PV array offsets the carbon emissions to achieve the Zero Carbon target.
