This BREEAM Very Good new build Advance Construction Skills centre based at South Bristol Skills Academy has been designed to meet sector skills needs, as well as widening participation and access to state-of-the-art construction facilities.

The scheme includes a 2,800m2 construction centre and yard, alongside the 750m2 refurbishment of an existing building. 

The centre will be home to a mixture of construction related teaching from bricklaying to carpentry and includes regular teaching space as well as an outdoor excavator dig zone and mock construction site so students can get a more realistic post college experience.

The state-of-the-art centre will deliver apprenticeships and training courses in trades like wood, brick and plaster.
