Oceanview Carbis Bay, Cornwall
Oceanview Carbis Bay is located on the north Cornish coast between the villages of Hayle and St Ives and was a former 1960s hotel before the venue closed down.
The site has been redeveloped to create 37no two and three-bedrooms apartments, of which include 7No. penthouses and 2No lateral penthouses situated in extensive grounds all with views of the sea.
Each unit has its own private parking space accessed via electric gates, concierge, access to landscaped communal grounds and residents’ gym.
Method Consulting developed the mechanical and electrical services strategy for the scheme, prioritising energy efficiency, resident comfort, and long-term sustainability. The design incorporates low-carbon heating solutions, enhanced building fabric, LED lighting with smart controls, MVHR systems in selected units, EV charging infrastructure, smart metering, and sustainable drainage systems—delivering high-end coastal living with a low environmental footprint.
